MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT                                          

 

 

 

Hello Interliners,

 

Happy Valentine's ! We are having a get together for a Valentine dinner on the 9th of February at the Colonnade Restaurant on our beautiful  bayshore boulevard. Please let us know by the 7th of February if you can join us.

 

The North American Meeting is being hosted by the Montreal IC from March31st to April 2nd. The package costs CDN$325 on a double occupancy. It includes 2 nights at Dorval's Hilton Hotel, 2 buffet breakfasts, 1 buffet lunch, 3 hospitality suits and 1 dinner and show at Le Jardin Du Gouverneur. Deadline to register is March 24 so please let us know if you wish to attend and meet Representatives from our region.

 

We also wish to remind our members whose membership ended December 2005 that you should renew by the first week of February,2006.

WACA UPDATE

Pre-AGA Tours
"Riding the Back of the Dragon" is the imaginative title of the pre-AGA cruise on the mighty Yangtze river from Chongqing to Wuhan from 27 September to 2 October. As a reminder, a China Capitals tour has been organized by the Airline Club of Thailand and this will also be from 27 September to 2 October. Complete details of both itineraries have been posted in the Calendar of Events on WACA's Web site. 

Post-AGA Tours
A ten-day tour will take interliners to the border of Tibet in the Kawa Karpo Range of the Himalayas 'In Search of Shangri-La" from 7-16 October on the second post-AGA tour being organized by the Hong Kong Interline Club Association. The first tour "A Journey through the Magical Mountains of Sichuan" is still sold out although participants have been given the option to switch tours so some spaces may open up. Information for both tours can be found in the Calendar of Events on WACA's Web site.

WACA Cruise
V.P. International Events and Special Projects, John Aarons, advises that there are still spaces available on the Baja Mexico Cruise scheduled to depart on 20 March. Further information can be obtained from John at: kitpar@netspace.net.au.

Congratulations
Heartiest congratulations are sent on behalf of interliners worldwide to Past Secretary General and WACA Member of Honor, Ann Lenehan, from the Washington Interline Club on her recent marriage to retired United States Lieutenant Colonel Peter Gritis.

Jamaica Jump -Up  

Jamaica IC invites you to enjoy the beautiful beaches and Jamaican sunshine from June 1 to 4. Arrive with Air Jamaica at Montego Bay and transfer to Grand Lido Braco Hotel. (Adult Resort) Welcome drinks at the Piano Bar and Dinner at the Victoria Market. Next day after breakfast you can laze in the sun, play beach games, or, take the optional Dunn's River Falls Tour. The second day ends with the Street and Pajama Party. The third day after breakfast you can join the Pool Party, the Boo Hoo Farewell Cocktail Party and Dinner/Cabaret Show and Reggae Party Time. On the fourth day we bid you farewell.
