MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Hello Interliners ,

This is our last communication for 2004. Christmas is less than a week away.

Our Xmas cocktail was a great success. We had a group of 20 people. Everyone brought a little something for the buffet and bar. Bill Moore our treasurer entertained us with his keyboard and guitar. The food was superb and  Roy kept the bar going.  Kiki, our Vice President and official photographer of our club kept clicking away, that is why she is not in the pictures most of the time.

I do not know about you, but I am looking forward to 2005. The WACA calendar event is giving us so many options of travel. Take a moment and check it out and let us know how we can help you participate. Do not forget that we need your support to attend our monthly gatherings too. You meet many other airliners and make friends and long lasting relationships.

We shall need your support for our International event  "Sunshine Break." We hope to have many International airliners.  We shall also host the North America Meeting. Representatives from Canada and USA will be here for their two days meeting. We shall let you know the time and dates of the gatherings and we are looking forward for you to join us to make them feel welcome.

Do not forget to bring your friends and co-workers to our Happy Hour January 17, 2005. We need each and everyone to help us grow.

On behalf of the Executive Committee and myself

MERRY XMAS and a HAPPY, JOYFUL 2005

Yours in Interlining,

Poppy Shiakalli Bowen

Message from our Regional Vice President of North America

We are quickly approaching the season of  Christmas and soon the  turning of a new year.  I am happy to become your Regional Vice-President for North America, although apprehensive of trying to follow the great job Ellie has done.  I have a lot to learn and therefore pleased Ellie has agreed along with Trevor Thredgold to be my assistants.  I know with your help and encouragement we can help WACA to grow to its potential of spreading friendship, understanding and respect within the airline industry.

We have all come through difficult times but it is time to put the past behind us and build on a changed but brighter future.  We in WACA know more changes will come but we must not do away with all of the firm foundations that were established when WACA was formed to help move our organization forward.

I am looking forward to our Regional Meeting to be held in Tampa, Florida May 13-15, 2005 and hope as many clubs as possible will be represented.  The Florida Interline Club is working hard to organize a great weekend for us and we need to support them in their efforts as one of our newest clubs.

Also, I would like to encourage each of you to promote our upcoming Annual General Meeting in early September in AGRA, India.  I know a great deal of work must go into organizing on international event like this and we need to make it a success.  Our recent AGM in Thailand was a lots of fun and it was good to see many new as well as familiar faces.

In the coming months, I hope we will all strive to promote the ideals of WACA  and encourage new members.  If each one of us brought along one new member in the new year we could see us double in growth, which will strengthen our clubs locally and WACA internationally.  Together, we can do it.

My wish for you this special season is the happiest Christmas with family and friends and a healthy, prosperous New Year for each of you and WACA
