Minutes of  March 10, 2004

 

Hello Interliners,

 

Wednesday March 10, 2004, the EC Committee met at the premises of Roland Schoubert’s office on Westshore Boulevard.

 

President Poppy Bowen updated all on her efforts for membership through the Carrollwood newspaper. She had 2 ex Tampa Interliners coming tonight at the get together. She updated them on WACA Headquarters request of the Florida IC constitution and by laws and the check to be sent as soon as we had everything agreed upon. She also gave the treasurer the Invoice for the web side for the next 6 months. January and February were paid by the President as a gift to the club. Vice President Kiki Williamson was unanimously voted for Florida IC WACA Representative. The club cannot afford to send her to the AGA so we shall see how we can help in every way. She updated the committee on her attendance to the Welcome center of Network 2004 where she displayed the club’s flyers and information. She got to know a lot of airline people at Sarasota Airport which will get her into promoting the club. She handed out the constitution and by-laws to all to read and make any necessary changes or corrections. The treasurer, Bill Moore updated on the opening of a bank account with Republic bank, and the flexibility of signatures. He gave out checkbooks to his assistant, Claudette Austin and to the President. He also gave an account of revenue. He suggested that we can do the 50/50 from now on. Roland Schoubert, Director of Travel, was assigned to put together a package for 2005. He said that he had some ideas and would go ahead and have something ready for us by the next meeting. It was decided to have the meeting on the April 14, 2004 and then to meet the interliners at Kahunaville Restaurant at the International Plaza.

 

After the meeting was adjourned everyone met at Kahunaville. There were fifteen at the gathering. Some newcomers found out about Florida IC get together on the internet and through the Carrollwood newspaper.  Please all welcome our newest members, Shirley Dibley, US Air/retiree and Earl Garrett, Pan Am/retiree.
