Message 01/2004
Hello
All,
Wednesday January 14th,
2004 was the beginning of the
Interline Club of Florida. The lunch meeting was held at the Gourmet Greek
restaurant, in Tampa. After introductions were made, President
Poppy Shiakalli
Bowen had a general
discussion on the WACA Association and what it can do for the airliners. Kiki
Williamson explained about the petition to IATA for retirees whose airlines are
not in operation, and pointed out that it would be an excellent idea to join us.
All who were present signed up. There was a discussion on ways and means to open
a bank account and attract more members. Bill Moore/CO and Claudette Austin/DL
were going to get together and discuss about getting the ID exemption tax form,
and which bank to do business with. As soon as this is taken care of we shall
look into the constitution and by-laws with Kiki Williamson’s help who has
already been looking into it.
The next meeting is February
18th at the International Plaza at 6:00PM. Be sure to check the
Events for Details

WACA started in 1966 in
Cannes
France with a group of airliners getting
together.
History repeating itself and this is how
the Interline Club of Florida starts in 2004!
