MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Hello
Hope you are all keeping well and happy.
On May 18th we had a good time at Storman's. Ten interliners met there and had the free Jimmy's buffet which was salad, spaghetti with meatballs and green beans. The drinks we had were mostly margaritas, rum and coke, beer. We met members of the parrot heads. It was fun and we joined in the dancing. The night was very enjoyable but some of us left early as we had to go to work the next day.
As for our International events, Mauritius IC is hosting Dodo's Nest, June 13 - 18. The club has prepared a nice package with catamaran tours, treasure hunts, beach Olympic sports and more. Air Mauritius will offer to all participants ID00N2 passes. Just to remind you about our Annual meeting in Agra, India. If you want to participate you would better hurry as you need to get your shots before you travel. There is a Pre-AGA tour to Kashmir and a Post AGA tour to Nepal. The deadline for registration is August 15th.
As you all know our next gathering is June 14th at Bahama Breeze. We are meeting at the outside bar which is beautiful and has live music. We want to meet at 7PM. If you would like to drive with someone do let us know. Please RSVP by the 12th of June. The dress code is casual
July will be a get together at a spot on the beach. We do not know which one yet. Do check the events page as we shall announce it right after the Bahama event.
If you have a favorite bar, restaurant, dancing place do let us know. We want you to be part of everything we do.
If you would like to volunteer for the committee please email us or call, the more the merrier.
Yours in Interlining,
Poppy Shiakalli Bowen

Welcome our new members Georgine Stanley and Deboraha Beach of USAir
TOURING THE
VINEYARDS
The Vancouver Interline
Club has just completed another very successful five day, six
night tour of the Southern Okanagan Wine district. The tour was made
up of thirty-eight very happy interliners and one very exceptional bus
driver. Folks came from Johannesburg, London,
Manchester, Germany, USA & Canada.
This was the fifth tour that the Vancouver
Interline Club has organized since 1991. I would personally like to
say a very special thank you to the three ladies that helped myself in
putting this together, Ann Harward, name tags,
registrations, etc. etc., Pat Lindeman,
emailed the wineries, etc., Arlene Fankhauser,
who organized the lunches etc.. I set up all of the Hotels and the
Bus company etc. The four of us worked together as a team, took
us a year to plan and we had community lunches at my home with wine
refreshments.
Thanks to each and everyone of you for signing
up for this tour.
Yours in interlining,
Sheila Read
