FLAIC 2008 – NEWSLETTER No.1
Message from the President KIKI WILLIAMSON and Vice President HAZEL SMITH.
We celebrated our 4th Anniversary January 1st!!
Hello Interliners..
As most of you know, we lost our beloved President Poppy Bowen, who passed away December 14, 2007. A memorial Church Service was held on January 5th, followed by a reception at her home, hosted by her husband Roy Bowen.
On February 2, 2008, we held our first FLAIC meeting and event at the Roaring Pizza and Pipes in Ellenton, Fl. WHAT A SUCCESS… everybody had a good time!
The meeting was held prior to the opening of the restaurant, thanks to the kindness of the restaurant’s Manager.
We had ten members and one guest in attendance. The Treasurer gave her report and according to our by-laws nominations were made, seconded and approved for the following 2008 Officers:
KIKI WILLIAMSON, President HASEL SMITH, Vice-President DOREEN AGLIANO PATTERSON, Secretary. SHIRLEY DIBLEY, Treasurer and WACA rep.
Roy Bowen agreed to serve as Webmaster

You are all invited to come for our February meeting and for Tappas and Sangria on February 28th 2008 , 6PM. at the Cevich/Tappas Bar Restaurant in St. Petersburg.

For our next event in March we would like to get together at an Irish Bar called TOMMY DUFF Aviation Pub in Clearwater which is a favorite of Airlines employees. Possibly on March 27. St. Patrick’s day is too difficult for a group. More info will follow. You can check their web site TommyDuffs.com
